Horn Lessons:

Hailing from generations of educators in my family, teaching is in my blood. Inspiring students and watching them succeed by having “ah-hah” moments and reaching their goals, is the pinnacle for me. I operate under the philosophy that “music lasts a lifetime”, a quote told to me by my piano teacher growing up. While many young adults are conflicted on which extracurriculars to choose, I like to remind families that we may not be able to play sports into our 80’s but playing an instrument is a life long hobby. Learning an instrument also develops time management, communication, and disciplinary skills that will serve a lifetime.

With years of teaching experience, my private students consistently earn first chair in their school bands as well as first division ratings at solo and ensemble festivals, both the regional and state levels. My grade school students have also auditioned and won positions in honor bands/youth orchestras, summer festivals/camps, and even in internationally recognized scholars programs. In addition to teaching privately, I’m available to lead master classes, sectionals, and career coaching lectures.
